In 1925 the Salem Evening News had an article on the new Semi-Professional North Shore Twilight Baseball League. Most of the semi-pro teams of that era played extensive independent schedules. There is no evidence at this writing that the league existed the following year. The teams in the league are listed below in the order of the final standings in August of 1925

The Carltonville Team pictured below won the league. They also dominated the North Shore for several years prior to and after 1925. Carltonville was a section of Salem whose name was taken from the Carltonville Station near Flint and Bridge streets and is down the hill from Mack Park

Front lr: Phil Hennessey (scorer), Jimmy Gorman (cf), Sonny Ahearne (lf). Center lr: Nesto Jodoin (p), Buck Condon (c), DoDo Gorman (ss), Callahan (p).
